I know black is supposed to be a slimming color to make someone look thinner. Is there a trick like this to make my legs not seem miles long?
I can honestly say that I’ve never even considered this to be a problem. I’ve always thought the longer the better when it comes to legs. The last time I wanted my legs to be shorter was before companies like Express and Gap started making longs and extra longs.
That being said, if your legs really are that long and it looks unbalanced, wear tunics. Nothing cuts a body in half like a tunic. This is why we will rarely recommend them here. But in your case, tunics and flats forever. From now on, do as Lindsay Lohan does. But really, if you’ve got them, we support flaunting them!

Skinny jeans have been fashionable for a while now, but I still haven’t bought my first pair because I think they make my body look like it is nothing but legs. Is there a way to wear skinny jeans but not make my legs look so lanky?
Actually, you’re in luck! There’s a relatively simple way to solve this problem. But if you have long and skinny legs, this isn’t a bad problem to have.
From my experience of trying on hundreds of pairs of skinny jeans, grey colors are always less slimming than black. Plus, grey skinny jeans are one of the most popular looks of this winter season. Not to mention grey leather jackets, boots and bags.
Look into some Hudson or J Brand skinny grey jeans. The quality and cut of both brands are fantastic!

When I was in high school, I definitely felt the same way. All of my friends could always wear the cutest, super high heels, and I didn’t think I could. Now things are different.
Eventually I realized that it’s more about how comfortable you are in your own skin.
My boyfriend is 6’5” and doesn’t mind when I wear heels. But when I wear some of my favorites, I am actually about half an inch taller than him. The old me would have been self conscious about that. But in reality, what guy doesn’t want to be seen walking around with a beautiful, tall, confident girl?
And if it just so happens that your boyfriend doesn’t feel comfortable in that situation, that’s a judgement call for you to make.
I know that I’d never sacrifice heeled footwear.
Ps- Doom is a strong word. There are plenty of amazing flats out there. Check out some of the options on www.PIPERLIME.com, including these. Some people love them. Some hate them. With the right outfit, they’re really cool.
I’m a little bit shorter than my boyfriend when we are barefoot. When I put on a pair of heels for a formal function, I always feel like I tower over him. Am I just doomed to flats forever?
